Building Codes & Regulations

Building codes, also known as building control or building regulations in certain countries, is a set of rules that specify the minimum standards for the design & implementation of constructed objects such as buildings as well as other built structures. The purpose of building codes is to protect public health, safety and general welfare as they relate to the construction and occupancy of buildings and structures. Amongst others, these codes may relate to construction, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire, health, transportation, facilities for the disabled, and various other regulatory parameters.

Our technical drawings are composed according to international or country-specific industry standards, so that all the information is easily and clearly understood, and standard conventions and units are used. We are familiar with the International Building Code (IBC) used mostly in the US, the Eurocode adopted in various European countries, as well as various other international building regulations.

Building regulations vary extensively from country to country and can often be quite exhaustive and complex to interpret for the inexperienced. We have great understanding and vast experience with building codes & regulations in general and can easily adopt to any country’s standard provided we are supplied with a reference copy of their particular building codes.
